Blown glass conch shells
Shells are approximately 7 1/2" - 8 1/2"  long, and weigh 1 - 1 1/2 lbs.

Inspired by years of sailing in the Florida Keys and the Bahamian Abaco Islands, Raymond creates these one-of-a-kind conch shells using timeless techniques, beginning with a melted combination of sand, soda lime and coloring agents that is shaped into being from molten glass that is mouth blown and hand shaped, resulting in a unique color and shape for each piece.

Raymond works alone without studio assistants, mouth-blowing and hand shaping each piece on the blowpipe, then transferring to a stainless steel punty rod where the final shaping is done using pliers, graphite paddle, shears and a high temperature torch. The piece is then annealed, polished and signed.

Website photos are representative; since each conch shell is one-of-a-kind, the shell you receive may not be exactly like the representative photo.
